Longshot Productions, LP was formed to support local musical communities.
Some of our goals are...:
to create a dedicated environment, specifically designed to cater to needs and concerns of serious musicians.
to provide local musicians a "one stop shop", high-quality resource which will allow them to plug directly into a local musical community.
to provide musicians with a centralized email service, which provides security and allows one to keep their anonymity.
to eventually expand into a website resource that local and touring musicians all over the world will come to rely on.
Longshot Productions, LP was formed by Dan Burnevik and David Meyer in Sacramento, CA. The concept for Longshot was conceived in Austin Texas when Dan Burnevik , with the help of his father, Art Burnevik and his friend Kent Allen to fully develop the Longshot brand.
Dan and David were fellow musicians; playing in various incarnations of several bands in the Sacramento area. Both Dan and David are songwriters and have produced multiple projects, both solo and collaborations. Some of the skills they were able to bring to bear on their own projects could be made available to their local musical community. The concept was to develop a website resource specifically designed for musicians and the local musical community. We want to provide an environment for the local musical community to network with one another. We want to help stimulate the music scene in any community.
